In the present developing world, healthcare in man and animal has made tremendous strides in diagnosing and treating various illnesses. Diagnostic testing is one of the fundamental pillars of modern medicine in accurately identifying diseases and guiding effective treatment strategies. “Early Detection Saves Lives”. Realizing the fact to cater the needs of the livestock farming community, pet owners and wild animals of the North Eastern states, ADMaC facility at the College of Veterinary Science (CVSc), Khanapara, has established the state-of-the-art laboratories equipped with trained manpower, all modern amenities for early and accurate diagnosis of diseases. To make the facility self-sustainable through animal welfare, the Advanced Animal Disease Diagnosis Facility (AADDF) is initiated as a joint venture of College of Veterinary Science, Assam Agricultural University, Khanapara, Guwahati and M/S Krisshna Enterprise, Guwahati which is being operated in Public-Private Partnership Mode.

The AADDF is operational from 10th July, 2024. The key components of AADDF are:

  1. Disease diagnosis
  2. Capacity building and skill development through training and internship programs
  3. Consultancy services to the stakeholders

The team of AADDF comprises well-experienced experts, and skilled virologists, bacteriologists, molecular biologists, clinicians and pathologists. The AADDF promises accurate, fast and cost-effective diagnostic services to clients, consultation to stakeholders related to livestock, pets and wildlife, and hands-on-training to students and researchers in the field of molecular diagnostics, vaccine production, animal cell-culture and microbiology.
